Student Visa Extension
Every student visa has a date of expiry on it. The expiry date is based on the length of your studies and 90 additional days to allow you to prepare for departure from Canada after you complete your studies.
If you already have a student visa and you wish to extend it, you must renew your student visa up to 30 days before it expires. If is already expired, you would need to submit paperwork for a new student visa to renew your status.
Those who wish to stay in Canada past the expiration date but not as students may request a different legal status, including work visas.
If you wish to stay in Canada to work, you must submit paperwork for a post-graduate work visa, or check other work visa options that you may be eligible for. To prepare the necessary documents and check your options, contact our team of immigration experts by clicking here.
